Turning a corner in Montmatre

12 Apr

While walking around Paris, we happened upon many breathtaking views and beautiful buildings and this was one of them. As we strolled the winding, steep hills of Montmartre browsing in the boutiques, patisserie and enjoying a cappuccino, we turned a corner to find this. Silently we stood in awe, taking in the historic basilica Sacré Coeur.

Bucket list trip

11 Apr

For 8 years I dreamed of our trip to Paris. My daughter would be turning 16 and I, 50. In six days we saw every historic sight we could, walked over 20 kms a day and soaked up the Parisian culture until it oozed out of our pores. We rode the lift up the Eiffel Tower to see the incredible views of the city, but this photo of the magnificent, historic tower is one of my favs.

The rock face behind the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona is breathtaking. I would stare at it for hours and find new faces, animals and symbols etched in the rock.

karate

I have been interested in karate for several years and have decided it’s time to add it to my bucket list. It makes me feel nervous to consider attending a Dojo for class so adding it to my list will give me some accountability!

Wish me luck!

I have to add a trip to Arizona to my bucket list, more specifically Sedona. It’s a place I have always wanted to visit.

Do you ever feel like if you travel to a particular place, you’ll find something or learn something?

Violet Poetry

Words are powerful and can be used to heal or harm. I believe in using my powers for good. Compassion, celebration of Gaia and our shared humanity, random kindness, the wonder of the human spirit, the poetry of empathy, all inspire me daily.
