Silent Sunday

It is, what it is

29 Aug

My last post, as I reread it, is fairly negative. I have sat with the upcoming changes and realized, once again, the higher powers that be are looking out to keep me in truth and on my path.

I used to get upset when things were not turning into what I had planned. It could be age or part of maturity, or both, but now when events do not happen as I envisioned they “should” I wait for understanding as I accept the turn of events. I look for meaning in everything and find it.

At the moment my life is brimming with change! How exciting! I have protected myself from taking on the energy of my coworkers to maintain my positive outlook on what is occurring. How much change?

• new job
• new office space
• looking for a new house
• possible career change for my spouse
• my oldest starting high school
• my middle daughter starting horseback riding and giving up piano

Incredible when I list everything.

And so as we enter the last month of summer and welcome fall, the season of change, I’m going to accept life as it happens. Truly it is what it is.

meeting, not by chance

25 Jul

Last weekend, I was blessed to meet Truly. She is a woman of true angelic light and beauty whose energy is bright and pure. I knew of her for over a year and finally felt it was time to meet.

Our meeting was insightful, uplifting and enlightening. We spoke of two visiting spirits who I still have yet to identify, though I have a feeling I know who they both are. I was also introduced to two angels who are currently guiding my life path. Though none of our conversation came as a surprise, it did confirm my intuition and thoughts on various people and situations in my life.

It is my belief that there is a higher power, source energy. I feel it when I connect to source. Through my meeting with Truly, I was instructed to start connecting, grounding and being protected; hence my new mantra. I travel when I’m not grounded. I’ve done it since I was a young girl.

My children are gifted in various ways, like all children. I believe each of us is gifted, and just need to find out what it is. Being gifted is not something you need to be tested to find out. Your gift is something you feel passionate about doing, something that stirs your soul and makes it shine!  My middle daughter, is gifted intuitively and has seen angels and spirits since she was much younger. She has always shared with me what she sees because I have been quite open about it with her.

Our children are born to us for a reason. I am in my daughter’s life to remind her of her gift, remind her to use it and not lose touch with her ability. I was thrilled to talk with Truly about the children’s spiritual development classes.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful is schools offered spiritual development classes for children. I’m not talking about a religious based course, but a course on each child developing their soul and spirit. It’s important to stay connected to spirit, to live with purpose, joy and love.

Thank you Truly, for your sharing your gift!  http://www.trulymedium.com/trulys-blog.html

it all makes sense now

Do you ever have the feeling you are not on the right path? Heading in a particular direction even though your gut is telling you to turn left or right?

I have that feeling.

It’s time to pay attention to the door so the next time I hear opportunity knock, I answer as quickly as I can! This weekend, I was told that I’ve already lost one opportunity and only two more will come. I am waiting expectantly, as the next knock is due anytime.

How exciting!

I love new opportunities to grow, learn, challenge myself. If I’m not learning, I feel like a stagnant pond waiting for something to come along to create a ripple.

Along with paying attention to my “door”, I also have a new mantra. Connected, grounded and protected. I have been encouraged to say it twice daily but as it’s new, and I love the way the words roll off my tongue, I’m saying it every hour.

As I feel more connected, grounded and protected, I also know that I’ll start saying “NO”. I’m a donkey, a loving, caring, helpful donkey who needs to start making people carry their own burdens. I’ll refuse in the most polite way to let them down easy. It’s going to shock people…including me!

How often do you say no to people? All the time? A healthy number of times?

these boots are made for walkin’

Sometimes your body just knows what you need and when you listen to what it’s telling you everything seems right with the world. This morning while making breakfast for my kids I felt desperate for some fresh air. I went to the back door, slid it wide open and stood there with the crisp wind blowing in my face. It felt like mother nature was slapping me awake and it was just what I needed!  After breakfast the kids, dogs and I headed out for a long walk.

Our first stop was the money tree. This is a tree on the edge of a woods where one summer day we actually found money!  It was probably change fallen out of someone’s pocket as they rolled or romped under the shade of the tree. The tree is fairly unique in that it’s two trees intertwined together to create one. We always go to the bottom of this tree on our walks because it’s become our magical tree. I actually feel better just standing close to feel its energy. I know…..kind of wierd, but I do love certain trees.

We carried on our walk through some woods, along the trail, over the frozen creek, crunching leaves beneath our feet and the trees blocking any wind that tried to move us along faster. We weren’t in a hurry to get to the other side of the woods as it had been some time since we walked the path. My daughter renamed our smallest dog Diablo for this walk and he actually listened to her well. I think he liked the new  name and my daughter made our walk like a new creative adventure. We jumped over logs, found great walking sticks, slip slided on the icy patches and took on a healthy glow with our rosy cheeks. As we neared home the pace picked up again as my son prefers to run more than walk wherever he’s going.

This was my favourite part of the day. Enjoying the outdoors with my kids and dogs. Life does not get any better than this when we can walk safely, breathe fresh air and enjoy each other’s company.

I have walked that path for almost ten years now, with one child, my first two dogs and now with my three children and two other dogs. A lot can happen in ten years.
